About this Role




The role of Inclusion Lead will require you to work with the Headship Team and as part of the Senior Leadership Team to take responsibility for managing and developing Inclusion, including the SENDCo and DDSL role.

In particular, successful applicants should have:



The relevant degree and QTS Proven highly successful teaching experience Leadership experience with a deep understanding of SEND provision Understanding of the key characteristics of an effective learning environment within your phase Be able to demonstrate outstanding classroom practice and articulate what constitutes effective teaching and learning within your phase Ability to inspire, lead and motivate children and staff, being an exemplary practitioner who leads by example with high standards Ability to influence the quality of teaching and learning Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working with, and the protection of, children and young people

You should:



Have strong leadership skills that result in the provision of first-class teaching and learning opportunities for pupils with Special Educational Needs and EAL Have experience of undertaking or overseeing the DSL role, ensuring robust safeguarding policies and procedures are embedded and upheld Have the ability to maintain confidentiality Have commitment to personal and professional development Excellent interpersonal skills Be passionate about improving the quality of provision for all children
