Independent Project / Development Manager (Fixed-Term Contract)
Great Yarmouth, Norfolk
18-24 month contract (starting in approximately 12-18 months)
60,000-70,000 base (pro-rated) + performance bonus
About us:
We are a privately funded landowner-led development business with full planning permission to build
9 houses
in a coastal Norfolk location. We expect to begin construction inaround 12-18 months
, and we're now looking to make early contact with an experienced, independentProject / Development Manager
who could take full responsibility for the build from mobilisation through to completion once the project commences.This forward appointment will allow early input into planning, cost reviews, and build strategy before construction begins.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, manage, and deliver the 18-24 month build programme Tender, appoint, and oversee all trades, contractors, and suppliers Control budgets, costs, and cashflow reporting Ensure compliance with building regulations, planning, and H&S standards Coordinate architects, engineers, and consultants Provide regular progress and financial reports to the landowner
Requirements
Proven experience in
residential development / construction management
Strong procurement and cost control background Organised, practical, and confident managing multiple trades Able to commit to the project timeline (starting in 12-18 months) Full UK driving licencePackage
Base fee:
60,000-70,000 (pro-rated over 18-24 months)Performance bonus:
