As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring that our restaurant maintains the highest standards of food quality and service.
Duties
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
Ensure all food preparation meets safety and hygiene standards, adhering to food safety regulations.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, presentation, and food safety practices.
Monitor inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to maintain stock levels while minimising waste.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
Assist in budgeting and cost control measures to maximise profitability without compromising quality.
Requirements
Proven experience as a cook or chef in a restaurant setting, with a strong background in culinary arts.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends.
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in both cooking and presentation.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
