We are seeking a dedicated and experienced female Indian Chef and kitchen assistant to join our dynamic culinary team and can stay at the restaurant .The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop leadership skills within a professional hospitality environment, supporting the head chef in daily operations and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.
Duties
Assist in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
Supervise junior kitchen staff and coordinate their activities to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Manage food production processes, including portioning, plating, and presentation of dishes
Oversee food safety protocols, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen
Support the head chef in menu planning, inventory management, and ordering supplies
Ensure timely delivery of orders to service staff and customers
Contribute to maintaining a positive team environment by providing guidance and support to colleagues
Assist with serving customers when required, ensuring excellent customer service at all times
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a hospitality setting
Supervising experience with strong team management skills
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and management
Experience in restaurant or catering environments is highly desirable
A passion for culinary arts and delivering exceptional customer service
