Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of Indian curry dishes, including classic and regional specialties
Create and maintain curry bases, gravies, masalas, and spice blends
Ensure all dishes are prepared with authentic flavors, proper seasoning, and high-quality ingredients
Monitor food preparation and cooking times to deliver consistent results
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene standards in the kitchen
Manage stock levels of spices, ingredients, and curry preparations
Assist with menu development and introduce new Indian curry dishes
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team during busy service hours
Requirements
Proven experience as an Indian Curry Chef or Cook specializing in Indian cuisine
Strong understanding of Indian spices, masalas, and regional curry techniques (e.g., North Indian, South Indian, Punjabi, Mughlai, etc.)
Ability to produce consistent, high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment
Good communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with tandoori items, biryanis, and other Indian dishes (a plus)
Formal culinary training (optional but beneficial)
