We are seeking an experienced and passionate Indian Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to food safety standards
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation
Assist in food preparation and cooking of authentic Indian dishes, maintaining consistency and quality
Coordinate with the head chef to develop menus that highlight traditional Indian flavours and innovative culinary techniques
Ensure all food production meets health regulations and safety guidelines
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen efficiency
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times
Support serving staff during busy periods to ensure excellent customer service
Experience
Proven supervisory experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment
Extensive knowledge of Indian cuisine, including traditional recipes and modern adaptations
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
Experience in food safety practices and compliance with health regulations
Previous restaurant experience is essential; hospitality background is highly desirable
Familiarity with food presentation standards suitable for high-quality dining establishments
