Job Description

Position:

Indirects Purchase Administrator / Assistant Buyer

Reason for Position:

To provide purchasing support for the technical and engineering functions under the guidance of the Group Indirects Buyer and Group Technical & Engineering Manager Facilitate the purchasing of a wide range of goods, materials, services and contracts, either directly or through the promotion, use and support of the company procurement system. Collate and analyse data consistent with and in support of supplier selection, supplier KPIs, category spend reports and forecasting. Assist in system maintenance and updating of contract records, specifications, certificates, suppliers, pricing and other documentation. Receive/review requests from department users and act upon them in a appropriate and timely manner, sourcing quotes and raising/ managing/monitoring purchase orders from placement to delivery. Ensure all goods and services are sourced through preferred /approved suppliers, applying correct pricing structure and ensuring relevant discounts are enforced. Liaise on a regular and routine basis with all other relevant depts in order to provide the optimum service levels, promoting cost reduction and efficiency at all times. Communicate and liaise with external suppliers and internally with all departments. Comply with all Group / company Health and Safety requirements. Participate in any development and training programs put in place in line with attaining personal, departmental and company goals and aims. Support and carry out other supply chain duties as required and directed by Group Technical & Indirects Buyer and Group Technical & Engineering Manager
