Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service
Oversee all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation in line with established recipes and standards
Manage food safety protocols, hygiene standards, and cleanliness within the kitchen
Plan menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to develop their skills and ensure adherence to operational procedures
Maintain a positive working environment that promotes teamwork and professionalism
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Assist in serving customers when required, providing excellent hospitality service
Skills
Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen management within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
Excellent culinary skills with a flair for innovative menu creation
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
Leadership qualities with the capacity to organise staff schedules and delegate responsibilities
Good communication skills for liaising with team members and management
Experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable
Knowledge of food presentation techniques and customer service principles
