Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced working

Industrial Cleaning Supervisor

to lead and manage a cleaning team of 8 cleaners based on a wood manufacturing factory based in in Chirk, Wrexham. The successful candidate will ensure all cleaning operations are completed to a high standard, safely, on time, and in line with company procedures and health & safety regulations.

This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and hands-on supervision.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the thorough cleaning of manufacturing and production areas to ensure all standards are met. Oversee and verify the washing down, degreasing and general cleaning of work areas in line with site procedures and cleaning schedules. Ensure correct and safe use of industrial vacuums by cleaning operatives. Supervise the degreasing and cleaning of equipment and oily machinery using approved chemicals and methods. Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed in accordance with established cleaning schedules, specifications, and protocols. Carry out routine inspections and quality checks to maintain consistently high standards of cleanliness. Ensure all staff adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, COSHH requirements, and PPE usage while performing duties. Provide on-the-job guidance, training, and support to cleaning operatives as required. Report any hazards, equipment issues, or non-compliance to management promptly.

Qualifications

Previous experience in cleaning or related roles is advantageous but not essential. Familiarity with the use of hand tools and basic cleaning equipment is desirable. Ability to operate cleaning machinery and equipment safely and effectively. Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail. Reliable with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently or within a team. Good communication skills and a proactive attitude towards safety and cleanliness standards.

Pay Rate:

16.00p.h. Standard Hours

22.00 - 30.00 p.h. Overtime Rate

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
