We are now looking to expand our team with the appointment of an

Industrial

Designer

who has a passion for seeing their designs brought to life. Quite simply we're after someone whose ambitions match ours.

As

Industrial Designer

you will be responsible for bringing the clients' design concepts to life, by deciding construction methods and creating construction and assembly drawing packs for on-site carpenters and fabricators to build from. You will see beautiful and innovative projects become a reality from your drawings, to then go on to be seen in the latest product launch or fashion show, and anywhere in between. You will be:

Receiving briefs from Project Managers and discussing projects, using problem-solving skills Creating 2D drafting and technical construction drawing (sign off / construction/ install packs) Doing 3D modelling and rendering to aid client sign off and workshop construction Breaking existing models into 2D components Using knowledge of carpentry construction methods and joinery to full advantage Researching new CAD/CAM technologies when required
We are looking for someone with:

Experience of CAD design within the events construction, theatre or film industry Strong computer skills and extensive knowledge of design software Experience of using the computer-generated plans to work with other team members and departments to set timelines, budgets and assist in making decisions regarding materials that will be used to complete the project. Experience of 2D and 3D modelling Advanced knowledge of the functionality and shortcuts within AutoCAD and getting the plans working smart and looking great. Strong organisational skills The ability to prioritise & work well with multiple priorities A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
