Job Description

A great opportunity has become available within the Unipart Security Department for an Assistant Team Leader to join our in-house Security team at Nuneaton.

The successful applicant will receive a guaranteed salary of 37, 999.96 and work Monday to Friday - 1400 to 0000 hours.

Please be advised this position is based on a fixed-term contract of 12 months with the potential to become permanent after this period.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

Supervision of staff ensuring all duties are completed in line with site Assignment Instructions and/or SOPs Planning workloads, allocating tasks and monitoring progress against targets. Monitor Health & Safety compliance and escalate issues where necessary. Maintaining safety standards, conducting risk assessments, ensuring staff have adequate first aid and fire safety training. Training and development of new and existing staff, including appraisals, performance reviews and maintaining records.. Regular liaison with site Management and attending warehouse operations meetings where required.. Collate reports and provide analysis of data when required. Be a positive influence within the team, driving and promoting a culture of engagement and collaboration. Innovatively and proactively identify ways to improve the site security. Support the site Security Team Leader where required. Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by the Group Security Management Team.

Proven success within a Security supervisory role. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with an ability to communicate effectively across department. Strong ability to motivate team members. The ability to act calmly and make decisions in difficult / crisis situations. Good attention to detail and personal organisation. Experience in customer service and conflict resolution. A professional approach and a can-do attitude. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Smart appearance. Honesty and integrity. Good level of IT skills, including MS Office suite. A good level of physical fitness

Essential requirements for this role are:

A valid SIA license A 5-year checkable history Previous Management/Supervisory experience
