We are seeking a skilled Setter, working on a 3 shift rotation to join our well established team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating machinery, ensuring that production processes run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and a solid understanding of mechanical systems. The Setter will work closely with other team members to fabricate and assemble components while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Duties
Setting up injection moulding machines, including installing moulds and configuring machine settings for production runs.
Monitoring the injection moulding process, including adjusting conditions to ensure product quality and reliability. Escalate any delays in mould changes or production stoppages to the Shift Leader or Production Manager
Conducting first-off inspections and ensuring product quality meets standards.
Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on moulds and machines.
Maintaining accurate records of machine settings, production data, and maintenance activities.
Identifying and resolving issues related to moulding defects or machine malfunctions.
Adhering to health and safety regulations and maintaining a clean work environment.
Qualifications
A good working knowledge of setting and maintaining Injection Moulding machinery with an excellent eye for detail
Good understanding of general manufacturing practices and procedures
Good organisational skills and able to work to deadlines
Good workplace organisation with a strong 5s mind-set
Ability to learn within a fast-paced environment
Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations
