Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager to lead our small team within our small rural inn. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in pub / hotel operations, and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse clientele. This role requires a hands-on, proactive approach and can-do attitude.

Duties

Lead and supervise staff to ensure high standards of customer service and promote a welcoming community atmosphere Oversee day-to-day pub operations, including bar management, stock control, and guest relations Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty Manage HR functions, such as recruitment, training, and performance evaluations Respond professionally to guest feedback or complaints, ensuring prompt resolution Ensure compliance with UK alcohol licensing and health & safety regulations (Personal Licence holder preferred, but not essential) Promote a safe working environment for staff and guests Monitor financial performance, assist with budgeting, and coordinate with suppliers as needed Support community engagement and assist with organising or promoting events (e.g., music nights, local gatherings)

Requirements

Proven supervisory experience within the hospitality industry ideally in a pub or inn environment Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable experiences A solid understanding of hospitality operations, licencing laws and best practices is essential. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are required for effective interaction with guests and staff alike. Flexible hands-on approach with willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required

Pay: 24,500.00-32,000.00 per year
