The primary function will be to carry out visual and dimensional bench inspection and sentencing of engines, modules, and components. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Large Engine Business based in Kirkhill, Dyce. The successful candidate will work in shifts.

An overview of your day
Carry out visual / dimensional bench inspection tasks and sentence material as appropriate in accordance with company procedures and relevant Overhaul Manuals
To carry out engine receipt, build and dispatch inspection checks in accordance with company procedures and relevant Overhaul Manual
Ensure all inspection records and electronic tracking system meets the requirement for each component inspected
Ensure all engine / module inspection cards are correct and to the relevant standard
Provide support to the fitting team depending on operational requirement.
Undertake other duties as may be reasonably required to meet the needs of the business
Communicate effectively within the department and provide support and assistance to other staff/suppliers where appropriate
What we need from you
Time served Mechanical Engineer / Inspector with a recognised Apprenticeship or National Certificate.
Several years of experience in Gas Turbine environment preferred but not essential.
Ability to use a variety of measuring equipment.
Ability to read / understand technical drawings and specifications.
Ability to translate technical requirements into operational instructions.
Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
Excellent attention to detail
Good communication skills - verbal and written
Good knowledge of ERP systems.
Ability to work well within a team environment.
