The Role: Install Dispatch Supervisor

Location: Cardiff (workshop based)

Salary: 30,000 - 35,000 dependant on experience

Working hours:

37.5 hours per week 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday

Contract:

Full-time, permanent position.

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an Install Dispatch Supervisor to oversee the critical final stages of our creative projects - ensuring they are packed, protected and delivered safely and efficiently to site. If you enjoy blending practical skills with project coordination then we'd love to hear from you.

This is a hands-on, solutions-focused role that sits at the heart of our delivery team. You'll be responsible for supervising the final assembly, packing and dispatch process of our bespoke builds, working closely with the Senior Install Manager, installation teams and our in-house workshop.

From reading technical drawings and designing protective packaging, to loading trucks and coordinating transport, you'll play a key part in ensuring every project leaves our workshop on time, in perfect condition and ready for a smooth installation on site.

Responsibilities:

Project Coordination & Dispatch



Lead the hands-on preparation, packing and wrapping of all outgoing builds Interpret technical drawings to assess how best to disassemble, protect and pack each project for transport Design and construct custom crates, pallets and fixings to prevent damage in transit Create detailed packing lists, labels, commercial invoices, and carnets where necessary Oversee and take part in the safe, methodical loading of vehicles for dispatch Plan and pack tools, fixings and hardware to support on-site installation teams

Scheduling & Logistics



Book and coordinate transport and logistics in line with project deadlines Align dispatch and delivery schedules with wider project timelines Respond swiftly to transport or scheduling challenges, maintaining flexibility and problem-solving on the go

Quality Control & Standards



Uphold high standards of quality and finish on all outgoing work Ensure wrapping, protective measures and packing meet safety and quality requirements Help maintain accurate stock levels of packing materials, tools and install consumables Support in creating and updating method statements and build documentation

Team Collaboration



Liaise with Installation Supervisors, Designers and Makers throughout the build process Share practical suggestions on assembly and install methods based on site needs Communicate clearly with the Senior Install Manager, highlighting risks or delays as they arise

Workplace Safety & Compliance



Maintain a clean, safe and efficient dispatch environment Adhere to Wild Creations' Health & Safety policies and procedures Attend training and development sessions to support ongoing professional growth

What We're Looking For



This role would suit someone with experience in installation coordination, workshop operations, event logistics or a similar practical, detail-driven environment. We're especially keen to hear from candidates with experience handling large or unusual items for transport.

Essential Skills & Qualities



Strong practical skills, ideally with workshop, packing or making experience Comfortable reading and working from technical drawings Highly organised and able to manage multiple deadlines Team-focused with excellent communication and coordination skills A proactive, hands-on attitude and the ability to adapt quickly A commitment to quality, professionalism and safety

Desirable



Forklift licence and/or manual handling experience Understanding of customs documentation (carnets, commercial invoices) Experience in the creative, events, film/TV or live production industries
