As we continue to expand, we're looking for a dedicated and experienced
Installation Engineer
to join our Operations team and support the delivery of high-quality, impactful installations.
Role Overview
This is a hands-on field-based role, ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with technical systems, and delivering excellent customer service in live environments. You'll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of Audiebant's mass communication systems across client sites nationwide.
The position is based from our Kirkham office, with regular travel and overnight stays required. You will be working alongside junior engineers and subcontractors to deliver high-standard installations that meet both client expectations and company quality benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out installation, servicing, and commissioning of a range of Audiebant systems (primarily traditional 100v line PA)
Ensure all installations follow project specifications, system designs, and risk assessments
Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site, including fault-finding and system testing
Perform technical site surveys, working with the operations team to feedback relevant data and findings
Liaise directly with customers on-site in a professional and clear manner, representing Audiebant to a high standard
Work collaboratively with junior engineers and subcontractors to complete projects efficiently
Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards, site-specific requirements, and internal quality control processes
Keep accurate records of work completed, including photo evidence, test sheets, and completion notes using digital platforms
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience in installation roles, ideally in one or more of the following areas:
- AV systems
- Data cabling
- Fire or security systems
- PA/VA and emergency communication systems
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities, especially under time constraints
Confident working with tools, equipment, and technical drawings or schematics
Comfortable working independently on-site, as well as within a wider project team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - professional, calm, and solution-focused
Qualifications & Requirements
Full UK Driving Licence - essential
CSCS Card - essential
Enhanced DBS Certificate, or willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (due to the nature of our work with schools and public sector clients)
Flexibility to travel and stay away from home as required (accommodation and expenses provided)
Desirable Experience
Experience working in live educational, healthcare or public sector environments
Familiarity with digital system integration, IP-based systems or structured cabling
Experience using job management or digital reporting tools (e.g. Motivity, Zoho FSM or similar)
