The Role

As an Installation Operative, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient installation of bus shelters and associated infrastructure. You'll work as part of a supportive team to deliver high-quality installations across the UK, following precise specifications and maintaining the highest safety standards.

This is a hands-on role that involves groundworks, manual assembly, and site preparation, working outdoors in all weather conditions. You'll need to be flexible, reliable, and ready to travel when required.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out groundworks and site preparation before, during, and after installations Assemble and install bus shelters and related products to specifications Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently Follow engineering drawings and site instructions accurately Maintain tools, vehicles, and work areas in a clean and organised manner Work collaboratively to meet deadlines and quality standards Comply with all health and safety procedures, including manual handling Report any site issues or shortages promptly to supervisors

What We're Looking For

Essential:

Right to work in the UK Full, clean UK driving licence Willingness and ability to perform manual labour (including heavy lifting) Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team Good communication skills

Desirable:

Experience in groundworks, construction, or site-based roles NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act) qualification

Hours

Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday, typically between 6am-6pm) Overtime or weekend work may occasionally be required Some travel and overnight stays are necessary (accommodation and expenses covered)
