Join our London team as an

Instructional Designer

where you will play a pivotal role on a high-profile client account within their Security Service Centre (SSC).


This hybrid, client-facing position offers the opportunity to shape the future of security operations by defining and delivering technical writing and learning assets. You will collaborate directly with stakeholders and subject matter experts, influencing the SSC ecosystem's documentation and training strategy.

Responsibilities



Set the strategic direction for essential content sets, leveraging deep domain expertise to support the SSC programme's success Plan, research and produce complex, high-impact documentation and learning materials including key sections of the SSC Playbook Translate intricate security and operational concepts, such as alarm handling policies and SSC typology, into clear, accessible language for all stakeholders Ensure all documentation is high-quality, well-organised, easily discoverable and maintained with robust version control Collaborate closely with subject matter experts, researchers, engineers and client teams to gather information and guarantee documentation accuracy Define documentation requirements and partner with teams to create and update comprehensive documentation sets Identify gaps in documentation and lead new projects to support ongoing improvements and new SSC setup processes Edit, clarify and enhance content produced by programme managers and technical experts, elevating the overall quality and consistency

Requirements



Proven experience creating high-quality technical documentation for complex operational or security programmes Demonstrated expertise in the end-to-end Instructional Design process, including developing eLearning modules, tutorial demos, explainer videos and presentations Ability to define information architecture, write articles and manage the maintenance of knowledge bases Strong aptitude for quickly understanding and communicating intricate technical information related to physical security, such as SSC functions (Alarm Monitoring, Incident Reporting, CCTV Audits) and technical infrastructure design (Integration, Reliability, Scalability, Redundancy) Experience organising and managing large documentation sets, ideally for internal security or developer audiences Exceptional writing, editing, analytical and collaboration skills Client-facing experience and a passion for building relationships and driving results Eagerness to grow within a key role on an important client account with opportunities for professional development and advancement
