We are looking for a highly organised and technically proficient Installation Manager to lead the daily operations and performance management of our insulation installation business. The work we undertake is a mixture of privately funded and ECO/GBIS projects. In this key role, you will be responsible for coordinating technical surveys and retrofit assessments as well as installer workflows, and ensuring all activities meet scheme regulations. Collaborating closely with the Directors and Support Team, you will help ensure the smooth and successful delivery of retrofit projects from initial assessment through to final lodgement.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end operations of all insulation projects, from lead acquisition through to completion and submission.
Coordinate scheduling and oversee the quality of technical surveys and retrofit assessments, ensuring adherence to PAS 2035 and relevant scheme standards.
Liaise with Customers to keep them engaged and informed during the process.
Work closely with the Support Team to maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely submissions to our Managing Agent.
Track and evaluate installer performance to ensure compliance with scheme regulations.
Provide regular updates to the Directors on project status, key performance indicators and operational challenges.
Supervise a small team of operations personnel and in-house installers, offering guidance, training, and ongoing support as needed.
Technical Duties
Evaluate and verify technical survey reports to ensure smooth and trouble free installation and compliance with all relevant standards.
Support the preparation of evidence packs for submission to TrustMark and Ofgem audits.
Coordinate property eligibility assessments, ventilation evaluations, and contribute to retrofit design processes.
Stay current with scheme updates and technical guidance, including PAS 2035:2023, RdSAP, and related regulations, ensuring the Company's QMS system remains up to date.
Ensure the Company's status as a PAS and KIWA approved installer is maintained.
Collaboration
Collaborate with Directors to shape operational strategy and set delivery targets.
Liaise with the Support Team to ensure efficient file management and timely lodgement of submissions.
Provide guidance and support to in-house surveyors, installers, and contracted Retrofit Coordinators on technical and procedural matters.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum of 2 years' proven experience in managing insulation installation teams.
In-depth knowledge of retrofit standards, ideally PAS 2035:2023 and RdSAP methodologies.
NVQ level 2 in cavity wall and cold roof insulation an advantage.
Exceptional planning and organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Effective communicator with strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Proficient in project management tools and the Microsoft Office Suite.
