An exciting opportunity has now arisen within the Newton Abbot Agency.
About the role:
Manage Client Accounts: Oversee existing customer accounts, processing changes to commercial, personal, and motor policies.
Client relationships: Engage and build relationships with existing customers by reviewing policies at renewal stage.
Business Generation: Identify, develop and generate General Insurance, Financial Services and Risk Management Leads from existing and new customers to meet relevant targets and reinforce the relationship and the reputation of NFU Mutual.
Cross-Selling: Promote additional financial lines policies, cover enhancements and Risk Management Services to existing clients.
New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, referrals, and lead generation to expand our client base.
Customer Engagement: Engage with prospective and existing clients to understand their insurance needs and recommend suitable products and services.
Customer Understanding: Present and explain insurance policy options in a clear and compelling manner, ensuring clients are fully informed and confident in their decisions.
Teamwork: Working as a team to achieve financial targets through selling and servicing of products;
Customer Service: Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage renewals, cross-selling of Financial Services and Risk Management Services, and long-term loyalty.
Documentation: Prepare and deliver accurate renewals, mid-term alterations, quotes, proposals, and policy documentation in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Industry Knowledge: Stay updated with industry trends, product knowledge, and regulatory changes to provide expert advice and maintain compliance (training provided to enable this).
Internal Communication: Collaborate with underwriters and other internal teams
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, activities, and policy details using CRM systems and reporting tools.

Possess a confident telephone manner and strong IT skills.
Hold a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade A-C (or equivalent), including Maths and English. or be able to demonstrate the relevant work experience.
Have previous insurance experience (preferred but not essential).
Experience in a similar customer focused or administrative role is warmly welcomed
Live within a commutable distance to the Newton Abbot Agency.

This role falls under the Insurance Distribution Directive. This means there is a requirement for Continuous Professional Development in role, in addition to ongoing screening checks once in post.
