We are seeking a highly skilled Integration Support Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. Responsibilities
Provide technical support for system integrations involving APIs, web services (REST, SOAP), and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining system architecture solutions across diverse platforms including AWS, Azure, VMware, and Kubernetes.
Manage and troubleshoot network configurations such as VPNs, firewalls, DHCP, DNS, and load balancing to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.
Support database systems including SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle) and NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB.
Develop scripts and automation tools using Python, Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell, or other scripting languages to streamline operations.
Collaborate with development teams on continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and DevOps practices.
Monitor system performance and security protocols to uphold information security standards; implement necessary updates or patches.
Document system configurations and procedures; assist in troubleshooting issues related to operating systems such as Windows, Linux, ESXi, and UNIX environments.
Participate in system design discussions; contribute expertise on microservices architecture, solution architecture, and system optimisation strategies.
Support virtualisation technologies including VMware ESXi and VMs; manage container orchestration with Kubernetes.
Ensure compliance with SDLC methodologies during project implementation; assist in debugging complex issues across multiple platforms.
Skills
Extensive knowledge of computer networking concepts including VPNs, firewalls, DHCP, DNS, load balancing and network security protocols.
Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure; experience with cloud-native services is advantageous.
Strong understanding of database management systems including SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL), NoSQL (MongoDB), Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
Programming skills in Python, JavaScript, C#, Java, C++, Ruby on Rails or similar languages; experience with API development using RESTful services or SOAP is preferred.
Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS), UNIX variants; experience with system administration tasks.
Knowledge of containerisation (Docker), orchestration tools like Kubernetes and VMware virtualization technologies (ESXi).
Experience with DevOps tools including Jenkins, Git version control systems; understanding of SDLC processes.
Ability to implement security measures such as information security policies; experience with VPNs and firewall configuration is essential.
Strong analytical skills for debugging complex issues; ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
