Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to a disabled adult requiring assistance with daily living activities. This role involves fostering a safe and nurturing environment while promoting independence and well-being.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life. Facilitate engaging activities tailored to the interests and abilities of clients. Ensure the safety and well-being of clients by adhering to health and safety protocols. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions. Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or activities when required.

Requirements

Previous experience in childcare, senior care, home care, or assisted living is highly desirable. Knowledge of first aid practices is an advantage. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Ability to manage challenging behaviours with patience and understanding. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
