Manage the health and safety of building projects, maintenance contracts, and fire risk assessments across the borough.
Allocate work to property services officers/supervisors or external contractors/sub-contractors.
Ensure established standards of work, cost, and allocated building maintenance, construction, or related works are met within the team.
Input on current FRA template and make improvements where necessary.
Work on improving processes and policies related to fire risk assessments.
Person Specification
Qualified fire risk assessor and member of IFE.
Experience with complex social housing tenanted blocks.
Willingness to mentor and share experience with current team members.
Surveying or building experience, preferably with knowledge of fire safety principles in purpose-built blocks of flats.
Knowledge of BS 9999, Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) 2005, and Client 79.
Understanding of contract law, statutory regulations, guidelines, British standards, and their implementation in refurbishment and maintenance contracts.
Ability to supervise and support a team of staff and contractors.
Capability to plan and manage work to implement programs and meet targets set by the Team Manager.
