About the Role





We are looking for a HR Assistant who is highly organised and enthusiastic to support the HR administration of the function, providing support to a small team of Business Partners.

This is a fixed term position for 12 months to cover a period of maternity leave and the ideal candidate will need to be able to start as soon as possible

.



The HR Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the HR team with various administrative tasks and ensuring smooth HR operations.

Key Responsibilities




Provide admin support as required by the HR team and manage the central inbox Support with the recruitment process, including handling of the applications, liaising with candidates/third parties/managers in scheduling of interviews, preparing offers and contracts of employment Ensure all background screening checks are carried out fully (using our third party) and any issues are escalated to the Business Partner Support and coordinate the onboarding process for new starters, including scheduling of quarterly inductions and manage probationary periods Liaise with Finance for monthly payroll changes Maintain an accurate and efficient HR database (BambooHR) with employee information and necessary documentation, including administering new starters, changes and leavers on the system Maintain HR intranet page Take ownership of employee benefits hub, including all administration and make updates as and when is required Provide support in investigations for absence, disciplinary and grievance procedures and attend such meetings in note-taking capacity along with producing outcome letters where applicable Participate in HR projects as admin support if required including the annual compensation project Any other request deemed reasonable from your line manager or Business Partners



Skills and Knowledge




Educated to graduate-level with a degree within a related specialism Experience of working in an administrative support role within a Human Resource department or similar Studied or working towards CIPD Comfortable with dealing with sensitive informatioN Good written and oral communication Excellent IT Skills, including Excel and WorK Well organised, able to prioritise and work to tight deadline Strong attention to detail Ability to collaborate and work autonomously Flexible and adaptable Knowledge of leases, loans or lending environment (desirable) * Knowledge of BambooHR system (desirable)
