Job Description

We are looking for a tenacious, robust and experienced Interim Project Manager for a term of 3 to 6 months to plan, oversee, co-ordinate, lead and manage the successful delivery of equipment conversion projects, ensuring compliance with ATEX/IECEx standards, on-time delivery, and alignment with Pyroban's safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Liaise with and direct engineering, production, procurement, and quality teams to ensure project milestones are met. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively. Ensure all conversions meet regulatory and customer-specific requirements for hazardous environments. Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external clients regarding project status and technical queries. Identify and mitigate project risks and implement corrective actions as needed. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the conversion process.

Requirements

Proven experience in project management within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Technical background in mechanical or electrical engineering (HNC/HND or equivalent preferred). Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Desirable

PRINCE2, PMP, or similar project management certification. Experience with forklift truck or diesel engine conversions. Understanding of ATEX/IECEx standards and hazardous area equipment (Category 2). Familiarity with ERP systems and project tracking tools.
Although an interim role, there could be scope for a longer term opportunity.
