Job Description

Our client, a large organisation in the Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage space is beginning the process of developing a new Group-wide corporate strategy to drive long-term EBITDA growth and mitigate strategic risk.

They are particularly focused on the impact of the Energy Transition on the industrial sectors they support (inc. Offshore Wind, CCUS, Hydrogen, Biomass, Steel, O&G & Petrochem, Grid ESO)

To help them build the strategy, they are looking for talented strategy and/or investment professionals to be part of the project team and lead aspects of the process.

The project (~6-7 months)

• A current state assessment of our business and capabilities
• Analysing market dynamics and sector value chains.
• Building market models
• Energy transition scenario modelling
• Prioritising opportunities
• Strategy workshops with customers / government departments
• Project management and internal comms

Key Stakeholders

Internal:

• C-suite (inc. CEO, CFO, CCO, Regional Directors x3)
• Senior Leadership Team
• Sector / functional experts

External:

• Shareholder Directors / Analysts
• Customers\' C-Suite / strategy / commercial teams
• Government departments
• Specialist consultants

Skills, Experience, Qualifications and Competencies

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Market and value chain analysis

Ideal candidate would have/be:

• 6+ years in strategy consulting / banking / PE value creation
• Strong academic background, e.g. MBA
• Experience working across industrial / infrastructure sectors
• Curious, creative mind
