We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Internal Business Development Executive to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible in generating new business through proactive outreach, effective management of the sales cycle, and conversion of leads into active customers. Your responsibilities will centre on telephone canvassing, guiding leads through the sales process, and turning prospects into trading customers. This role is instrumental in supporting the company's growth in the renewable energy sector, particularly focusing on solar and Power Purchase Agreements (PPA).
Responsibilities
Conduct telephone canvassing to identify new business opportunities and generate qualified leads.
Manage and coordinate incoming leads and enquiries, ensuring prompt follow-up and progression through the sales cycle.
Administer the full sales cycle, from initial contact and qualification through to proposal, negotiation, and closing.
Convert leads into new business by presenting tailored proposals and clearly articulating the company's value proposition.
Maintain and update CRM records to ensure accurate tracking of leads, contacts, and sales activities.
Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth handover and execution of new customer projects.
Create professional sales proposals and documentation in line with client needs and expectations.
Provide weekly activity updates, including pipeline status, call volumes, and conversion rates, to the Operations Manager.
Support wider team operations as required, including covering during periods of absence or increased demand.
Continuously prospect for new business opportunities via phone, email, and online tools.
Maintain high levels of professionalism and customer service during all client interactions.

Engage with decision-makers at various levels, including C-Suite executives and business owners, to understand their needs.
Lead and support key accounts, introducers, etc. addressing any queries or concerns and ensuring a positive customer experience.

To complete ad-hoc duties that supports both the function and the business as and when requested.
To undertake certain tasks of the operation to cover any holiday cover, sickness etc.
Skills
Minimum 1 years' experience in a business development or telesales role.
Proven success in outbound lead generation and sales conversion.
Strong verbal communication and persuasion skills.
High attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Organised, self-motivated and target driven.
Confidence in engaging with decision-makers and overcoming objections.
Experience or interest in renewable energy (e.g. solar, energy trading, PPA) is advantageous.

Basic Salary 30,000 - 35,000 - with OTE of 60,000 (Uncapped).
