Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) - Self-Employment Programme

Working Hours:

7 hours per week (Mondays, 08:00-17:00 with 1-hour unpaid lunch)

About the Role

Bhuku Ltd is recruiting a qualified and experienced

Internal Quality Assurer (IQA)

to oversee quality and compliance on the accredited Lion's Den self-employment programme delivered at

HMP Lewes

. This is a one-day-per-week post supporting a small cohort of up to 10 learners and a single tutor delivering the sessions.

The IQA will ensure the programme is delivered to the required standards, that assessments are fair and consistent, and that all awarding body regulations are met.

Key Responsibilities

Sample learner work to ensure valid, reliable and sufficient evidence of competence Monitor and support the delivery tutor in line with quality assurance processes Provide constructive feedback and action points for continuous improvement Ensure compliance with internal and external awarding body requirements Maintain accurate records and contribute to the IQA report for each cohort Liaise with Bhuku's Curriculum Lead and Programme Manager to ensure standardisation and best practice Support with preparing for external quality assurance visits (if required)
Requirements

A recognised IQA qualification (e.g. Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice) -

essential

Experience quality assuring accredited employability, business, or enterprise courses Up-to-date knowledge of awarding body standards and assessment practice Strong attention to detail, with excellent written and organisational skills Familiarity with prison or secure setting delivery (desirable but not essential) Must be able to pass enhanced DBS and prison security vetting
