Role Overview:
Performance Lighting is seeking a driven Internal Sales Executive to join our growing team, someone who thrives in a flexible environment and is eager to shape both their future and the future of our brand.
Whether you are already working in the sales sector, ideally within the lighting industry, and are now seeking that extra bit of freedom to make a more personal impact, or you have a strong foundation in customer service and are now looking to leverage your B2B experience in a sales role--this opportunity is built for ambitious professionals like you.
This isn't just a role where you follow a rigid script; here, you'll have the freedom and support to bring your ideas to life and explore new ways to enhance customer satisfaction, discover new business opportunities, and maximise revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
New Business Development:
- Proactively seek out and develop new client relationships, with a focus on expanding our customer base, range of products sold and increasing turnover.
Client Relationship Building:
- Work with clients at all levels, from branch managers to buyers and counter staff, to identify and understand their needs.
Account Management:
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and addressing any concerns.
- Maintain regular contact with our existing wholesale customers to encourage repeat business and new product up take.
- Co-ordinate with our operations and warehouse team to ensure on time deliveries
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities
Sales Strategy Implementation:
- Work closely with the Sales Manager to support and execute sales strategies that align with our business goals.
Sales support & Administration:
- Prepare and issue quotations, price lists and promotional materials tailored to each individual account or customer group
- Log all interactions and opportunities in the CRM system
Sales Reporting & Analysis:
- Monitor your own sales performance, prepare regular reports, and provide insights to improve sales effectiveness.
- Staying up to date and communicating updates on competitor products and pricing
Client Visits & Events:
- Help support our external team in events and occasional client visits.
Team Collaboration:
- Work with our marketing and product teams to align on strategies, share feedback from clients, and ensure cohesive communication.
- Support our field sales by following up on activity and helping with account insights
- Participate and present in regular sales meetings and product training sessions
- Follow up on marketing campaigns
Office Based
- Work within our highly knowledgeable team.

Qualifications and Skills:
Experience: A background in sales or customer service, ideally with experience of managing longer-term B2B client relationships.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage clients at all levels of the organisation.
Self-Motivated & Proactive: A driven individual who can work independently, take initiative, and develop creative approaches to win new business.
Organisational Skills: Strong time management and organisational skills to balance account management and new business activities.

Lighting experience is beneficial but not beneficial as full training will be given.
