Job Overview - Internal sales assistant:

We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Internal Sales Assistant to join our team. As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing excellent service to our customers and ensuring their satisfaction. This is a fast-paced role that requires strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment. In addition to this you will answer the phone to incoming calls and support the senior sales team.

Working hours:

Monday-Friday 7.30am - 4.30pm or 8am-5pm

Every other Saturday 8am-12midday

We are looking for a team member who can:

Make sales to customers over the counter in our depot

Answer the phone to incoming calls and assist customers or redirect them to the appropriate sales manager

. Be proactive making outgoing calls to customers, chasing quotes.

Process sales orders and quotations through our computer systems to assist the senior sales executives

Experience:

- Previous experience in a builders merchant or the construction industry
- Knowledge of basic math for cash handling purposes and computer skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- A good telephone manner

- A positive, outgoing personality
