This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team at our Head Office in Calne, Wiltshire, and contribute to the continued delivery of exceptional service to our clients and the public.

Overview



We are looking for a driven and customer-focused Internal Sales Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about sales and service, capable of identifying new opportunities, nurturing customer relationships, and helping drive the growth of both new and existing product lines.

This role also involves supporting small-scale project sales and contributing to the continued development of our customer service function.

You will play a key role in listening to customer needs, identifying the right solutions, and ensuring their experience with us is positive and professional throughout.

Key Responsibilities



Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers. Proactively identify and pursue sales opportunities to grow product lines. Listen actively to customer needs, understand their requirements, and provide effective, tailored solutions. Manage minor project sales from enquiry through to delivery. Provide accurate and timely quotations, follow-ups, and order processing. Deliver a high standard of customer service through all interactions. Act as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring enquiries and issues are handled promptly and professionally. Support the development and improvement of the customer service department to deliver a consistent and positive customer experience. Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing and timely delivery. Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, opportunities, and communications in the CRM system. Ensure CRM data is regularly updated to support reporting, forecasting, and team collaboration. Meet or exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs.

Skills & Experience



Proven experience in internal sales and/or customer service, ideally within a technical or product-based environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A customer-first mindset, with the ability to manage queries, resolve issues, and build lasting relationships. Ability to listen carefully, interpret customer needs, and respond with appropriate solutions. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Comfortable handling both inbound and outbound sales activity. Confident in using and maintaining CRM systems to manage pipeline, customer records, and reporting. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and other business systems.
Experience working collaboratively across departments to support customer needs.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 28,000.00-30,000.00 per year
