Internal Salesperson



Hours of work

- 7:30am to 5:00pm Mon to Fri every 2nd Sat 8am to noon

Salary

- depended on age and experience

Summary of the Role.



As Internal Sales you will work within a team to manage and maintain our existing client database

Dealing with inbound telephone and email enquiries

Responsible for producing orders

Raising quotations and following up

Providing excellent customer service

Will be expected to generate new business

The ideal applicant will have internal sales experience in a Merchants

Ideally will have strong account management skills

Ideally have knowledge or sold related products such as: timber, timber products and building materials

Ideally sold to both contractors and the public previously

Must be able to build relationships and break down doors

Enthusiastic, bubbly personality

Professional, organised and driven.

Responsibilities.



Selling a range of timber and building products including; fencing, flooring, cement, slabs, posts, nails, screws, etc.

Predominantly dealing with inbound traffic via telephone and email and establishing strong relationships

Generating and sending off quotations for clients

Accessing dedicated customer bases encouraging repeat business

Reactivating lapsed accounts promoting new product ranges

Aiming to increase average order value

Sourcing non-standard products and negotiating prices

Chasing new business

Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets

Supporting the external and internal sales teams where possible

Take personal responsibility for own work performance and present a positive image of the company

Skills that are required for the role.



Personal organisation and Standard of work

Excellent customer service skills, will put the customer first, focusing on finding solutions for them and building trust

Proven experience in a proactive sales environment - building new business and handling lapsed accounts

Able to communicate effectively at all levels

Ability to achieve and exceed sales targets

Sound knowledge of timber or building materials, both heavy and light side

Excellent telephone manner with the ability to influence and build rapport quickly with our customers whilst offering great service
