to join our logistics team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in international trade, supply chain, and transportation management. As an apprentice, you will receive hands-on training and support while learning how goods move around the world.
You will work alongside experienced freight forwarders to understand end-to-end logistics processes, including documentation, customs procedures, customer service, and coordination with carriers and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in organising the transportation of goods via air, sea, and road.
Support the preparation and management of shipping documentation.
Track and monitor shipments, providing timely updates to customers.
Communicate with carriers, shipping lines, customs brokers, and agents to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Assist with quotations, rate requests, and cost calculations.
Participate in problem-solving for delayed or disrupted shipments.
Deliver excellent customer service and assist in resolving inquiries.
Complete all apprenticeship training tasks, assessments, and coursework.
Skills & Qualities
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Willingness to learn and a proactive approach to tasks.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Basic IT skills (email, spreadsheets, data entry).

Education & Requirements
GCSEs or equivalent (including English and Maths).
Eligible for an apprenticeship programme.
No previous freight forwarding experience required--full training provided.
