The Growth Company is delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised and motivated International Trade Services Events and Project Facilitator to join our Greater Manchester International Trade Service, part of the Greater Manchester Business Growth Hub (GMBGH).



In this pivotal role, you will support the delivery of international trade activities designed to help Greater Manchester's start-ups and established businesses expand into global markets.



You will be responsible for providing administrative, logistical, financial, and event support to the International Trade Services team, including the day-to-day coordination of the GM Global Growth Partnership Hub. Your work will ensure the successful planning and delivery of international workshops, trade events, and inbound delegations that connect local businesses with global opportunities.


The contract is offered on a temporary basis until 31st March 2026.




Key Responsibilities:




Manage a portfolio of internationally themed workshops, events, and inbound delegations, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with stakeholder expectations. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the GM Global Partnership Hub, including room bookings, logistics, and on-site coordination. Coordinate the GM Business Growth Hub's international events and missions' calendar, collaborating closely with partners across the GM Enhanced Trade Partnership. Support the Head of International Trade Services and wider team in arranging overseas missions, meetings, and international trade events. Liaise proactively with key stakeholders to support event planning, content development, scheduling, and promotional activity. Ensure seamless event management, including managing registrations, handling all event enquiries, performing eligibility checks, and maintaining GDPR compliance for data sharing. Collect and report on event performance data in line with contractual and funding requirements, preparing regular reports for managers, boards, and external partners. Carry out financial administration related to events, including raising purchase orders, processing invoices, and reconciling costs in line with internal processes.

About You:




You have a keen interest in international trade and a solid understanding of the opportunities and challenges within the sector. High level of knowledge and understanding in contract management practice, and compliance, particularly concerning National Government and Local Authority funding. Self-motivated and results-driven, you take personal responsibility for your work and proactively seek solutions when challenges arise.

Skills & Experience Required:




Able to integrate data and CRM systems to produce performance management data. Logical eye for detail and ability to manage own time and to work unsupervised. Working with a variety of key stakeholders, with varying requirements/requests. Organising/coordinating international trade delegations and managing a portfolio of workshops/events. Delivering projects of work to meet defined targets and competing priorities. Tracking and producing performance management data.
