As \'Intranet Content Specialist\' your role is to ensure that the newly created DCS Intranet platform is the key focal point for Internal communication and information sharing across functions. The intranet should be THE place to go for all DCS employees seeking organisational information. Employees across regions should be able to find up to date and breaking news, general DCS organisational information, corporate policies, training guidelines, functional updates and more.

Role

Initially, you will support the Intranet project delivery including the testing, launch and adoption activity. Once fully rolled out and in use the role will act as the gatekeeper and driver for the DCS intranet- encouraging functional ownership and contribution. The intranet should evolve through understanding the employees requirements whilst taking a pro-active approach to understanding what should be shared and why.

Responsibilities

The role will;

• Work with functional Leaders and Representatives across regions to build and maintain content pertaining to the DCS intranet platform - built in Msft Sharepoint
• Drive, support and engage with nominated authors, content owners and page editors, coordinating and encouraging collaboration and participation in order to achieve an engaging, dynamic DCS Intranet site.
• Be accountable for ensuring the validity and expiry of all content, working with functional representatives who have responsibility for the provision of current and timely content
• Work closely with respective DCS Communications and Marketing teams to maintain a visually appealing intranet identity within DCS brand guidelines
• Understands DCS Strategy and internal messaging that requires cascade and ensures alignment with external marketing/PR messages and updates
• Train and support functional representatives in order to provide a level of automony in the up keep of their own functional pages.
• Monitor intranet usage through site analytics to provide data to key stakeholders regarding the effectiveness of the channel and steer decisions for further developments and configurations.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

• A highly collaborative, pro-active background in employee communication and content creation
• Should have a solid background working with Intranet/Internet platforms and specifically a background working with the Msft SharePoint platform. Understands the importance of User Experience and how to adapt and develop intranet to ensure continuous improvement and enhancement.
• Strong literary skills that combined with a grammatical understanding and attention to detail provide a clean, concise message that represents the DCS message and tone of voice to be cascaded through the organization.
• Proven, demonstrable work
• Strong experience of stakeholder management across multiple geographies
• Experience of working within small virtual teams

Preferable

• Knowledge and experience of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in order to build and develop interfaces
• Graphic Design experience creating, sourcing and resizing images and working within brand guidelines, experience of using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and InDesign
• general understanding of GDPR and similar data protection regulations and Intellectual Property and confidentiality requirements
