Position Overview




The Inventory Lead is responsible for overseeing and optimizing inventory control procedures across multiple Distribution Centre's (DCs) within the EMEA region. This role ensures inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and system integrity through proactive cycle count management, SAP IDOC/EDI resolution, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The position also plays a critical role in supporting product availability, quality compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities



Inventory Control & Optimization



Devise and implement inventory control procedures across 3PL-operated sites to ensure accuracy and compliance Oversee monthly cycle counts, analyse variances, and report findings to senior management Lead daily, weekly, and monthly inventory synchronization activities across the region Resolve SAP IDOC/EDI errors in collaboration with IT and BPX teams to maintain data integrity Supervise internal inventory movements within DCs and manage replenishment processes

Inbound & Operational Oversight



Manage dock-to-stock operations, ensuring all inbound inventory is received and processed within agreed KPIs Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for inventory-related challenges, supporting day-to-day operations Partner with supply planning to monitor safety stock levels and product availability to ensure robust supply continuity Support OTIF-D (On-Time In-Full Delivery) performance and lead operational process improvements

New Product Introduction (NPI) & System Enhancements



Ensure DC readiness for NPI launches, including system setup, inventory availability, and process alignment Participate in cross-functional projects and lead system enhancement initiatives and change requests

Inventory Health & SLOB Management



Lead short-dated inventory monitoring and coordinate mitigation strategies with commercial teams Support SLOB (Slow-Moving and Obsolete) reviews and drive reduction initiatives Manage inventory write-offs in accordance with financial and operational policies

Inventory Oversight



Oversee inventory control processes, ensuring compliance with handling and storage protocols Monitor SV product shelf-life and coordinate short-dated stock actions with commercial and quality teams Ensure inventory is accurately tracked and synchronized across systems and DCs Support NPI launches and quality release processes in collaboration with Commercial Quality

SOP Governance & Compliance



Manage issuance, maintenance, and compliance of SOPs related to inventory management across EMEA Conduct regular reviews and updates to ensure alignment with operational changes and audit requirements

Quality Control & Regulatory Support



Collaborate with Commercial Quality teams to manage inventory release/hold controls, including COAs, product damages, and non-conformances Support CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) processes and ensure timely resolution of quality issues

Qualifications & Skills



Education & Experience



Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory management within a 3PL or multi-site distribution environment Strong experience with SAP (MM/WM/EWM modules), IDOC/EDI processes, and inventory reconciliation

Skills & Competencies



Proficient in LEAN methodologies and continuous improvement practices Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Excellent communication and stakeholder management across regional teams Ability to lead cross-functional projects and drive operational excellence Familiarity with regulatory compliance, quality systems, and inventory audit protocols

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)



Inventory accuracy rate Cycle count completion and variance resolution Dock-to-stock turnaround time SLOB reduction and write-off control OTIF-D performance IDOC/EDI error resolution rate SOP compliance and audit readiness Inventory accuracy and compliance
