Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Inventory Manager to oversee inventory control and stock management across our distribution operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal stock levels, accuracy of inventory records, and efficient stock movement to support business needs and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Inventory Management:

o Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).

o Monitor stock levels and forecast demand to prevent shortages or overstocking.

o Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities.

Stock Control:

o Develop and implement stock control procedures to minimise loss and improve accuracy.

o Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and variances.

o Ensure timely replenishment of goods in line with operational requirements.

Process Optimisation:

o Analyse inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

o Collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to streamline stock flow.

o Implement best practices for inventory handling and storage.

Team Leadership:

o Manage and support inventory control staff, providing training and guidance.

o Allocate tasks and monitor performance to ensure targets are met.

o Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Compliance & Reporting:

o Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

o Prepare and present inventory reports to senior management.

Support audits and regulatory inspections as required.

Qualifications

Proven experience in inventory or stock management within the distribution or logistics sector.

Solid experience in forecasting, stock control, and purchase order management

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in WMS, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent organisational and communication abilities.

Knowledge of supply chain principles and inventory control techniques.

Experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 35,000.00-45,000.00 per year
