We are now looking for an

Inventory Planner & Analyst

to join our dynamic Service team in

Poole, Dorset

. This is a key role within our

Warehouse & Logistics function

, specialising in providing all the stock management & logistics activities for our busy spares business. Our spares are in the Netherlands, where we work hand in hand with our world Class logistics partner.

What you'll be doing





As an

Inventory Planner & Analyst

, you will:



Manage and optimize our inventory levels to meet our business needs, ensuring most products / parts are available exactly when needed and minimizing the holding and associated cash tied to slow moving items. This involves analysing data, accurate forecasting demand, and coordinating with various teams & stakeholders. The role requires strong analytical, reporting, problem-solving, and communication skills. The use of AI and a range of reporting tools is a necessity.
Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring & reporting stock levels, identifying potential shortages or excess inventory.



Demand Forecasting: Analysing sales data and market trends to forecast future parts demand.



Inventory Planning: Developing and implementing inventory plans, including determining optimal stock levels and ordering parameters.



Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborating with suppliers through the supply chain team to ensure the timely delivery of materials & products. Leveraging supplier stock levels to improve parts availability whilst limiting stock levels & associated cash impacts.



Performance Monitoring: Tracking inventory turnover rates, scrutiny on associated targets set with our warehouse partner and associated functions. Ensuring all metrics are clearly displayed and shared with all relevant stakeholders.



Be highly organised with good administrative skills, have good attention to detail and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.



What we are looking for?





To succeed in this role, you should have:


Ability to analyse data, identify trends, communication to wider stakeholders and the ability to make data driven decisions.



Have excellent IT skills and can use a range of tools to capture & analyse data. Can use AI where possible to increase speed & efficiency.



Ability to identify and resolve inventory related issues.



Ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including spares team, supply chain team, warehouse & logistics teams, and wider warehouse partner.



Experience & knowledge of inventory management systems & tools and associated ERP and WMS software.



Understanding of supply chain principles and practices.



Be highly organised with good administrative skills, have good attention to detail and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.



The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.



A valid driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally, including overseas.
