Job Description

VJ Technology are recruiting for an Inventory Support position to join our busy Purchasing team.

This is a full time, permanent role. 40 hours per week Monday - Friday. 830am-530pm

Your purpose



Working closely with the Purchasing team, you will be instrumental in coordinating the purchase of all products on behalf of the organisation and ensure the efficient acquisition of goods at fair prices. You will maintain strong relationships and excellent communication with suppliers and internal contacts, whilst tracking orders and maintaining purchase and stock records.

Your day-to-day role



Working in a fast-paced energetic team who strive for personal and professional excellence

Developing strategies to find the most cost-effective deals and suppliers

Place orders with suppliers for stock orders

Make sure direct delivery to sites are fulfilled and the information given to suppliers is as accurate as possible

To liaise and communicate closely with the Sales department for any enquiry hand over

Conduct regular price comparisons to ensure the company is always getting the best price for each product

Maintain strong working relationships with our vendors

Compare product deliveries with issued purchase orders and contact vendors when there are discrepancies.

Review daily stock reports and orders to maintain min-max levels

Liaise with Warehouse and make sure stock is delivered

Review & monitor stock reports and adjust/re-order when needed

Manage the transfer of stock to other company warehouses.

Risk of run out and Outlier checks

Skills you have



Prior experience of working within a fast-paced construction or related industry procurement department

Knowledge of the Company, Market & Competitors (Desirable)

The ability to liaise effectively and build relationship with suppliers

Proficient in using IT packages (including Microsoft word and Excel, PowerPoint)

Good knowledge within purchasing

A proactive and flexible approach to plan and meet demanding deadlines

Pay: From 26,742.00 per year
