We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Irrigation Engineer to design, develop, and manage efficient irrigation systems for commercial, or community projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in water resource management, hydraulics, and irrigation technologies, along with a commitment to sustainability and resource conservation.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, install, and maintain automated and manual irrigation systems for lawns, flower beds, shrubbery, and tree zones in large planted areas.
Inspect and test irrigation systems to ensure uniform water distribution and efficient operation.
Program and adjust irrigation controllers and timers based on seasonal needs, plant types, and weather patterns.
Diagnose and repair system malfunctions including broken lines, leaking valves, and malfunctioning controllers or sensors.
Monitor soil moisture levels and coordinate with horticultural teams to align watering schedules with plant needs.
Recommend and implement upgrades to improve water efficiency, such as smart controllers, weather sensors, and drip irrigation.
Ensure compliance with water usage regulations and environmental sustainability goals.
Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for clients and regulatory agencies.
Provide training and guidance to clients or end-users on system operation and maintenance.
Qualifications:
Experience in Irrigation systems in commercial landscapes or large-scale garden settings.
Solid understanding of irrigation system components including pumps, valves, controllers, emitters, and pipes.
Knowledge of plant water requirements, soil types, and weather-based irrigation practices.
Experience with smart irrigation technology and water-saving techniques.
Ability to read site plans, irrigation layouts, and technical manuals.
Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a landscaping team.
Physical ability to work outdoors and perform manual tasks in various weather conditions.
