We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our IT support team as an IT Apprentice. This is exciting opportunity for someone who has a genuine interest in technology, is eager to learn, and ready to start a career in IT. You will become part of a small friendly team and gain practical technical experience within a professional IT environment, while working towards a recognised qualification.
As an apprentice, you will be working alongside an experienced professional team to support the delivery and maintenance of IT services across both offices, but predominantly at our Luton Office. You will receive training and mentoring to help develop your skills in IT software and hardware support within a law firm. During your apprenticeship will fund an appropriate qualification at either Level 3 or Level 4, depending on your current qualifications, providing necessary time and support to successfully complete the course.

Key Responsibilities
Provide IT support to end users with all IT related issues.
Handle 1st Line Support Queries (Email and Phone) at Luton and Berkhamsted.
Track and monitor issues to ensure timely resolution, taking responsibility until the matter is fully resolved.
Complete day to day maintenance of in-house software and hardware.
Set up new IT hardware and software for new members of staff.
Support the smooth operating of our copier machines.
Support with the maintenance of our telephony system.

We are looking for someone with:
A genuine interest in IT;
Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise multiple demands within a busy working environment;
Excellent interpersonal skills and clear written and oral communications;
Ability to work confidently with all commonly used ICT applications with a good knowledge of Windows, Office and Apple products;
Able to confidently engage with new people and help build awareness and understanding;
Organised and proactive with good attention to detail
High attention with a keen eye for detail within all areas of work;
Good problem solving and decision-making skills;
A basic understanding of network, router/server and switch management.
Entry Requirements
For a Level 3 programme
3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
For a Level 4 programme
An A-Level in ICT
OR An International Baccalaureate at Level 3 in ICT
OR A Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject
OR A BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits)
Working Hours
9:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday
Location
Luton office, 28 Dunstable Road, and support to Berkhamsted office
