About the role
We're looking for a Business Analyst, to join the Digital Core team within Boots IT. You'll work across a diverse landscape of retail and healthcare applications and programmes. You will be at the centre of Boots digital business, delivering the best solutions that put our customer needs first.
Reporting to a Lead Business Analyst, you will work with members across the digital functions to jointly define with them the scope, objectives, processes and requirements for major upcoming and ongoing projects.
The daily activities of the role will include:
Work with business and IT stakeholders and using a variety of techniques to define, capture and prioritise the backlog of requirements and create user stories, including functional, non-functional and IT operational requirements for the project.
Analyse business requests, identifying and evaluating options for improving business systems and processes, ensuring that customer and colleague needs are always at the forefront of our solutions.
Plan the business analysis work for projects by managing milestones and dependencies for the work to proceed in an Agile or Waterfall manner as applicable.
Work in a team of other Business Analysts on large / complex pieces of work, ensuring that the vision, scope and requirements are aligned across the entire project.
Support the Lead Business Analyst to engage with business functions to understand their strategy and business plans to create product roadmaps.
Support test teams and project managers with the evaluation of defects and prioritisation of these defects.
Represent the business and their requirements through the project lifecycle.
What you'll need to have
You'll have experience in a Business Analyst capacity and the confidence and passion to take accountability for projects of varying scale and inspiring the implementation of outstanding solutions.
You'll have the ability to manage, influence, negotiate and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders at all levels in the business
You'll work toward a collaborative understanding to deliver the best product for our customers and colleagues.
You'll have the ability to handle multiple projects, deadlines, and work.
You'll always aim to understand and bring others along when your understanding is greater than theirs.
You will have experience working within both Agile and Waterfall software delivery environments and an all-round appreciation of IT delivery.

Experience working in a Product Owner, Product Manager or Project Manager role.
Experience working in a healthcare, pharmacy or retail environment.
Recognised qualification in business analysis.
