Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a IT & Cyber Security Manager to join our growing team in Derby
As an IT & Cyber Security Manager Lead on the strategic and operational delivery of cyber security. This role aims to safeguard company data and infrastructure from emerging cyber threats, ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations.
The role significantly contributes to the resilience and integrity of Balfour Beatty's digital environments.
What you'll be doing
Develop and implement comprehensive cyber security strategies aligned
with organisational objectives. Lead the response to and recovery from security incidents and breaches, minimising impact on the business.
Oversee the management of security tools and technologies like Microsoft Cyber Security tools, Azure Active Directory, and Firewalls.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal policies and frameworks.
Conduct regular security assessments, reporting findings to senior leadership team and making recommendations for improvement.
Facilitate cyber security awareness and training programmes for colleagues and supply chain partners at all levels.
Manage and mentor the cyber security team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Collaborate with IT and project teams across Balfour Beatty Group to integrate security practices into all facets of the business.
Influence cyber security investments and initiatives, providing expert advice to stakeholders.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging threats, and best practice security protocols.
Who we're looking for
Proficiency in Microsoft Cyber Security tools, Microsoft Exchange, Azure Active Directory, Conditional Access, Firewalls, and EDR.
Leadership skills with experience in managing diverse teams.
Strong understanding of IT and cyber security frameworks, standards, and
regulations. Ability to collaborate effectively with various internal and external
stakeholders.
