Job Description

IT Delivery Manager

-----------------------

We're looking for an experienced and business-savvy IT Delivery Manager to lead the delivery and evolution of our front-office systems across websites, store tech, CRM, and more. If you're passionate about retail technology and want to play a pivotal role in shaping the tools and platforms used by store teams and customers, this is your opportunity.

In this role, you'll act as a key liaison between IT and the business--representing front-office needs in strategic projects, ensuring operational excellence, and owning the Continuous Improvement Program (CIP). You'll work closely with UK and US-based teams, leading product roadmaps and supporting delivery for key business initiatives including a major PoS transformation.

This role can be offered on a hybrid basis from either our Birmingham or Watford office (2 days a week on site).

What You'll Be Doing

Own the Front-Office Roadmap: Champion and manage front-office platforms, aligning projects and changes to support retail operations, websites, devices, CRM, and more. Lead Continuous Improvement: Drive CIP by identifying business pain points, proposing enhancements, and delivering practical improvements to systems and workflows. Bridge Business and IT: Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and UAT, working with technical teams to deliver impactful solutions. Manage Releases & Change: Oversee UK testing and change control of regular US-led releases, ensuring UK-specific use cases are captured and delivered. Partner Globally: Collaborate with US IT on group platforms, managing joint releases and projects, and ensuring time zone alignment for early morning release testing (06:30-07:00, twice monthly). Support Major Projects: Act as Product Manager for key projects, including the UK PoS replacement, and work cross-functionally where systems touch both front and back-office areas. Champion Operational Excellence: Maintain standard operating procedures and control checklists while supporting incident resolution and root cause analysis for third-line issues. Stay Connected: Build strong partnerships with business units, architecture, service delivery, and third-party support teams in the UK and offshore (India).

What we're looking for:

Project & Product Leadership: Proven experience in product management, delivery or operations leadership with an ability to manage priorities across projects, support, and improvement initiatives. Agile Know-How: Comfortable working in Agile environments and translating business needs into actionable work for delivery teams. Retail Tech Expertise desirable: Deep understanding of front-office systems like PoS, CRM, mobile devices, and payment solutions within a multi-site retail environment. Excellent Communicator: Able to simplify technical detail for business users and convey business priorities to technical teams. Problem Solver: Detail-oriented and analytical with a hands-on approach to continuous improvement and root cause analysis. Collaborative Leader: Skilled in building effective relationships across IT, operations, and store leadership teams.

Additional Info

Global Time Alignment: Some flexibility required to support early morning testing for US-led web releases (twice per month from Jan-Oct). On-Call Responsibility: Part of an out-of-hours management rota, especially during peak trading months (Nov-Dec).

Make a tangible impact on the retail experience by shaping the systems at the heart of our store operations.

If you're ready to take on a pivotal IT leadership role with cross-functional visibility and real-world impact, we'd love to hear from you.
