Role Summary



Overseeing our IT strategy, budgeting, staffing, and the implementation of new technologies, we are recruiting an innovative

IT Manager

to ensure the smooth operation of IT infrastructure, oversee IT projects, and troubleshoot technical issues.

Responsible for leading and managing our IT resources, safeguarding the efficient and secure operation of computer systems, networks, and related infrastructure; primary day-to-day duties are the security of the company's IT systems and electronic data, development and implementation of customised systems and overseeing all computer-related activities. The IT Manager plays a critical role in optimising the use of resources and ensuring that they are allocated effectively to meet our organisation day-to-day and long-term strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:



Strategic Planning and Alignment



Identification of technology needs. Technology road mapping. Vendor selection.

Team Leadership and Development



Team supervision. Professional development.

User Support and Training



Provide technical support to user groups. IT Training facilitator.

Budget and Resource Management



Budget forecasting, allocation, and cost optimisation. Inventory management.

Project Management



Prioritisation, procurement, & implementation.

Infrastructure Management



Oversee day-to-day operations of network, cloud, and server infrastructure. Maintain and update Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (TROPOS). Legislative compliance. Daily maintenance and troubleshooting. Setting and monitoring SLAs.

Security and Risk Management



Implement and maintain information security measures. Implementation of disaster recovery plans. Implementation and management of security measures. Regular risk assessment of system defences and resilience.

Vendor and Stakeholder Management



Maintain purposeful relationships Collaboration with key stakeholders

Skills/Experience/Qualifications



The role of

IT Manager

is multifaceted and requires both industry-specific qualifications and technical abilities. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

Formal Education:



Bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Microsoft Power BI certification - Desirable Certification as Project Management Professional or PRINCE2 - Desirable

Experience



Track record of experience in IT, ideally with increasing levels of responsibility and authority. Experience of team management and leading IT projects. Experience of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (specifically, TROPOS) with an ability to manage, maintain, update, complete bulk uploads, and extract system reports. Expertise in data centre management and data governance. Experience in planning, organising, and executing IT projects, including resource allocation, timeline management, and risk assessment. Ideally, experience of developing Power BI reports and dashboards.

Skills



A deep understanding of IT infrastructure, software, hardware, and emerging technologies. Strong proficiency in SQL/SSRS. Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft applications & CRM systems, ERP systems, CI tools, and Product Data Management software. Ability to analyse complex issues, troubleshoot technical problems, and find innovative solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to align IT strategies with business goals and anticipate future needs. Understanding of budgets, cost analysis, and return on investment (ROI) related to IT projects. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A style to work collaboratively with a commitment towards delivering excellent customer service. Working knowledge of the underlying legislation surrounding data security, including GDPR, and be aware of associated risks and controls that need to be in place to adequately secure data.
