JMAN Group is a fast-growing data engineering & data science consultancy. We work primarily with Private Equity Funds and their Portfolio Companies to create commercial value using Data & Artificial Intelligence. In addition, we also work with growth businesses, large corporates, multinationals, and charities.
We are headquartered in London with Offices in New York, London and Chennai. Our team of almost 400 people is a unique blend of individuals with skills across commercial consulting, data science and software engineering.
We were founded by cousins Anush Newman (Co-founder & CEO) and Leo Valan (Co-founder & CTO) and have grown rapidly since 2019. In May 2023 we took a minority investment from Baird Capital and in January 2024 we opened an office in New York with the ambition of growing our US business to be as large as, if not bigger than, our European business by 2027.
Due to significant and ongoing growth, we're looking to hire our first IT Manager for our London Office to oversee and manage all IT operations. Our London office is currently c.120 people and growing. This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for the end-to-end ownership of local hardware, infrastructure, and service delivery while working closely with our IT team in Chennai. You'll also play a key role in driving compliance initiatives (ISO & SOC 2), cybersecurity rollouts, and device management standards to ensure a secure and efficient IT environment.
You'll be suited to working within a busy, humble, and rapidly growing business where you'll apply your customer service mindset, technical knowledge, collaboration skills, proactivity, and problem-solving experience.
The role will be office based 5 days a week (EC3N) and reports to the Operations Lead (London based). The role doesn't currently have team management responsibilities however, as the business scales, there may be an opportunity to grow a small team.

Your key responsibilities:
IT Operations & Infrastructure

  • Own and manage all London office IT hardware and infrastructure, including laptops (primarily Lenovo), AV systems, networking equipment, and firewalls.
  • Ensure smooth running of daily IT operations, proactively monitoring and resolving issues.
  • Oversee procurement, inventory, and lifecycle management of IT assets.
Service Delivery
  • Act as the primary point of contact for IT support in the London office.
  • Manage, prioritize, and resolve IT service tickets raised by London employees, including remote workers.
  • Track issues via service desk tools and ensure timely resolution.
  • Document procedures, incidents, and fixes for internal knowledge base.
  • Collaborate with the Chennai IT team to ensure global IT service alignment.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
  • Lead implementation and ongoing management of cybersecurity initiatives, including BYOD policies, Zero-Trust Network architecture, and endpoint protection.
  • Monitor and respond to security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents via monitoring systems.
  • Support and maintain ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance efforts, ensuring local practices meet audit requirements.
  • Roll out and enforce compliance policies for devices across the London office.
O365 & Endpoint Management
  • Administer and manage Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Oversee Microsoft Intune for device enrolment, compliance rules, patch management, and conditional access policies.
  • Ensure best practices are followed for user identity, access, and device management.
Your skills and experience :
Your background
  • 3-5 years proven experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration and Intune endpoint management.
  • In-depth knowledge of network security, firewalls, AV systems, and Windows/macOS environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to roll-out cybersecurity initiatives (BYOD, Zero-Trust, etc.).
  • Able to deal with and resolve L1 and L2 level tickets.
  • Familiar with service desk tools.

Beneficial if you have:
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator, Azure Administrator, CompTIA Security+, CISSP).
  • Previous experience in a hybrid/global IT team setup.
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools and cloud-first environments.
  • Experience supporting ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance frameworks.
