IT Security Engineer - North-East / Hybrid
40,000 - 55,000 + bonuses, 35-hour work week and great benefits
This profitable and growing organisation require an experienced IT Security Engineer, who has a history of analysing infrastructure estates, to determine the current security status and report on recommendations. As the SME for all things Security, your role will be varied and can range from dealing with a complex incident investigation to setting up new security solutions for customers.
Working as part of the wider Infrastructure team, you will help plan and execute a disaster recovery solution whilst also providing technical security input to assist project delivery. You will be responsible for technical delivery of the Security Roadmap and support continuous service improvement.
The preference is for candidate to be able to attend the Gateshead office several days a week. Flexible working can be discussed for the right candidate.

Experience required:

• Proven track record in an IT Security Specialist / Engineer role

• Experience with SIEM Platforms e.g. Microsoft Sentinel
• Endpoint protection experience
• Track record of timely delivery of infrastructure / security projects
• Microsoft security tech stack
• Good understanding of networking technologies
• Security compliance knowledge would be beneficial
• Relevant Azure or security certifications would be desirable e.g. CISSP, Azure Administrator, CCNP etc.
