About the role 
 We are looking for an accomplished solutions architect to be hands-on to design and deliver creative solutions across multiple capabilities of the healthcare business covering pharmacy and opticians. 
 You will be working as part of an experienced team of architects, business analysts and project managers all focussed on delivering into the healthcare realm and platforms. 
Responsibilities 
 Be accountable for the technical delivery of your projects by taking ownership for the end-to-end design, including design approval and ensuring that detailed design and development follow the architectural deliverables. 
 Deliver high-quality solution designs for the projects you are working on, highlighting main design decisions. 
 Provide a link between the solution delivery team, IT partners, enterprise architecture and the wider business to develop quality architecture deliverables and ensures the project delivery is fit for purpose. 
 Help develop roadmaps for the business and technology. 
 Build & maintain an understanding of the organisations IT strategy, technology frameworks within IT and overall enterprise architecture roadmap and use this to inform solution designs. 
 Ensure design governance is met within healthcare and are produced on target. 
 Collaborate with other architects to use their expertise, support and peer review. 
 Support the production and validation of estimates for projects delivered internally or by 3rd parties ensuring that all design components have been included and the costs represent best value for money. 
 Provide advice on design decisions arising from the requirements and propose alternatives to potentially deliver better value. 
 Support the lead architect through the creation and maintenance of architecture standards, patterns, and building blocks to lead solution re-use. 
 Review detailed designs and the solution at main points during the project to ensure that the integrity of the end-to-end integrated design has been maintained. 
 Oversee and perform peer reviews of outline designs, high-level designs and detailed designs produced by other resources, partners and third parties. 
What you'll need to have 
 Experience in solution architecture preferably including azure technology, Java EE or Microsoft .NET. 
 Expertise in creating architecture deliverables for both Waterfall and Agile projects and operating in a structured delivery environment. 
 Experience working with mixed onshore / offshore / outsource delivery teams. 
 Broad and balanced understanding of IT capabilities, methods, and technologies 
 In-depth experience of design of IT solutions cloud hosting (Microsoft Azure), web and micro-services. A broad understanding of information security in a regulatory compliant setting - especially GDPR and sensitive PII data protection. 
 It would be great if you also have

 Experience with integration technologies such as Talend, Software AG, WMQ, Azure integration stack. 
 Experience designing and recommending cloud capabilities (Azure) to meet architectural, business and operational needs. 
 Experience using tools like Alfabet, Aris or Sparx Enterprise Architect to help design architectural deliverables. 
 Experience using ArchiMate 3 for both business and architecture artefacts. 
 An architecture qualification such as TOGAF or ISEB.
