Role:

IT Support Engineer

Reporting To:

Head of IT

Established in 1968, Galgorm Group is the leading independent supplier of Catering, Hygiene and Healthcare products in Northern Ireland.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the systems team at Galgorm Group in a forward looking, fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1st Level Support of System Users and systems, and training as required

Support of server systems including Microsoft Active Delivery, Exchange Server

Processing of supplier and customer information through our ERP system

IT System support including printers, workstations, networking and telephony

Liaising with suppliers for purchasing and maintenance of IT systems

Installation of hardware, software and networking as required

Support current IT Team

Opportunities for project management; identify needs, source and implement IT solutions as business requires

Essential Criteria:

Basic Understanding of networking, computer and mobile device hardware and software

Competent in use of Microsoft Office and Windows with enough knowledge to support others in these products

Good problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills

Desirable Criteria:

Degree in IT related discipline

Microsoft Certifications

Experience with Microsoft Server Technologies (Exchange, SQL, Windows Server)

Previous experience in a similar helpdesk and/or IT role

Sage/ERP or Financial, Warehousing Systems Knowledge

Basic competency in SQL or other databases (eg Microsoft Access)

Ability to analyse, catalogue and query data for presentation to non-technical users

Generating reports based on ERP data
