Your new role:
Responsible for ensuring that all Help Desk Tickets are processed in line with Service Level Agreements, provisioning and maintenance of Desktop hardware and applications.
This role is permanent and full-time (35 hours per week) on-site based.
Responsibilities of a IT Support Engineer:
High level of contact with colleagues offering technical support on day-to-day issues.
Responsible for ensuring that Help Desk tickets are closed within Service level agreements.
Ensuring that all activities performed are executed in strict accordance with Trident's Health and Safety Policy.
Provide technical support to colleagues in person, via phone, or email.
Troubleshooting hardware and software problems.
Configuring and maintaining desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
Administering Active Directory, Exchange, and other enterprise systems.
Ensuring the security and integrity of network and systems.
Assisting with the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
Collaborating with IT team members, staff, and vendors to resolve technical issues.
Documenting technical issues and solutions in a knowledge base.
Who are we looking for?
2+ years of experience in IT support or related field.
GCSE level in Computer Science, English and Math's or equivalent on-job experience. (NQF Level 5)
Good knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
Experience with Active Directory, Exchange, and other enterprise systems.
Understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper V.
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
